It is his desire that all kindergarten through second-grade students receive a glass of milk each school morning. Milk enhances the well-being of the children served. After bringing this request to HEF supporters through our newsletter and word of mouth, over $10,000 was donated for this important new program.           The nurses and doctors who have visited St. Matthias Parish have all commented that they easily recognize the children who attend our schools by their healthy appearance. The milk gives these little ones an extra boost. For only 5¢ a day, a child can be given a glass of milk.
