No Administrative Costs

At the Haiti Education Foundation, all administrative costs are covered entirely by two long-time donors. This means that 100% of your donations go directly to helping to educate the children of the south mountains of Haiti.

This is the way that our founder, Frances Landers, envisioned HEF to operate. We have continued to follow this philosophy. It is important to most donors that a very high percentage of their giving go to the beneficiaries; Haiti Education Foundation is one of very few who can commit 100% to the beneficiaries.

And we are very careful about spending the donations that are made to HEF. We have a history, dating to 1981, that has given us the experience to understand how Haiti operates and as such, we avoid the pitfalls that often burdens other charities. Indeed, Haiti is not an easy place to insure accountability and we are working hard to give our donors the confidence that their dollars are used wisely.
