University Program
Reaching Higher!
university student           Students completing their HEF education are setting their sights on attending college in Port-au-Prince. We believe that we must aggressively involve ourselves in providing support for these students as they seek to further their education. The plan for this program is:
  • A dorm will be built in Léogane that will provide shelter for the students. This can be done for a cost of about $35,000. Thirty thousand of this has been obtained through a grant.

  • A bus or "tap-tap" will be purchased to provide student transportation, and will also be used in public service to generate money for food, dorm upkeep, and tap-tap maintenance. This bus will cost $31,500.

  • Approximately 25 students will be participating in this program for the 2004-2005 school year. Tuition is $2000 per student, per year. This includes books and materials.
university student           We need you to help us make this plan a reality. Tracking accounts will be set up for each area of need. Churches and individuals interested in sponsoring a university student will be given their student's name, area of study, year in school, and photograph. university student
