Sponsor a school. Sustain a community.

Sponsorship covers a school’s teacher salaries for a full year. Fifteen of the 34 schools of Haiti Education Foundation (HEF) are still waiting for a sponsor.

How Sponsorship Works

One school, sponsored for a full year

A sponsor commits to paying the salaries of the teaching staff for one full year (12 months). Each sponsored school has its own account so that you can know your balance at any time. 100% is used to pay those salaries. No deductions for overhead expense.

  • The minimum: half the need

The minimum commitment is fifty percent of a school's annual salary need.

  • Most sponsors give fully

Most sponsoring churches and families cover one hundred percent of a school's need for the year.

  • A designated account, not a pool

Every sponsored school has its own account. That which you give toward your school reaches that school.

A Real Partnership

Sponsoring makes you a school’s partner.

You know the name and location of your school. You know the name of the Priest in Charge and the principal and teaching staff. We share photos of your students so you can see what their school looks like and what they are doing. They know that they are not forgotten, and that there are people who care about their future.

Where Things Stand

Nineteen are sponsored. Fifteen are waiting.

Unsponsored schools are currently sustained through the General Scholarship Fund, the most vulnerable fund when giving slows. New sponsors matter now.

Which school is waiting for you?

Every unsponsored school has a name, a community, and a director waiting to be known. Reach out below and someone from Haiti Education Foundation will share which schools are available and what full sponsorship requires for that specific community.

One school can hold a community together

HEF’s sponsors have believed that from the start. Fifteen schools are waiting for their own sponsor now. Perhaps one of them is meant for you.
